VINEYARD INFORMATION
Vingolo Vineyards is located in the Big Valley area of Lake County,
at the base of Mt Konocti. The property sits on a well-drained, gravel
alluvium soil with 15 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and 13.5 acres of
Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
Elevation at the vineyard is 1,350 feet.
At this altitude, vineyard pests are reduced and pesticide application
minimized. With the elevation comes increased UV light that thickens and
intensifies the flavor of the grape skins.
The vines are all on
5BB rootstock, and have Clones 7&8 for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Clone
1 for the Sauvignon Blanc.
